Castiglioncello ... one of the most picturesque Italian seaside resorts with renowned historical traditions. Here there is nature and hospitality united with history and culture, art, peace and tranquillity, leisure time and sport.

The "spiagge bianche" white beaches. The blue sea and cristal clear water - a tropical beach with white sand - without palm trees - but with all characteristics of the tropics, an impression which you can also get coming from the "Aurelia" street which connects Livorno and Grosseto, direction south.
When you are coming from the superstrada direction south before the exit of Rosignano Marittimo you can see from up there a 4 km long white strip of sandy beach.

Pomaia. A little town in the middle of the green hills of the Pisa area, one of the most beautiful countrysides of Tuscany. This little village has got the aspect of a medieval fortress and became very famous in the past years because of its Buddhist centre - a school of Dalai Lama, who himself has visited this seat several times. In this peaceful place the Buddhist monks have built a little Tibetan temple with its "chorten", the colourful small flags and sacre paintings.
A visit of Pomaia's) Buddhist centre is an interreligious encounter.

Nearby you can visit little picturesque medieval villages like Casale Marittimo, Montescudaio, Guardistallo, Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri.

Bolgheri. At the end of the famous cypress alley ( which starts at San Guido ) you enter this small medieval village through an impressive arch of the castle, then walking around the little streets and squares you can feel the atmosphere of old times. Don't miss to have a look at its tiny shops, where you can buy typical products of this area and where you can taste the local specialities. The village is surrounded by green woods rich of Mediterranean vegetation and a well cultivated plain.
It is connected to Castagneto Carducci (it belongs to its municipal administration) by the "Via Bolgherese", a wonderful road which became famous as "La strada del vino" the wine road, famous all over the world for its Super Tuscans.
